Oops, Spring Has Sprung

Spring has arrived already and I still had a winter theme to "Short Snap Smile".
I quickly made it look more formally spring than winter with new background and header. :)
Hopefully soon I will post some pictures, which might be around the time of Easter.
God bless my dear nine followers!

Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Joshua and I just came back from tree shopping. We got a great deal and a Douglas Fir that smells great! What greater could you ask for? ;D  The guy checking us out asked, "Do you want to buy the bottle of preservatives or usually a spoonful of sugar helps the tree as well." We went for the sugar...saved about a $1.27! Anyway, I will probably post pictures of our lovely tree when I get around to it, but I just wanted to tell all the "Short Snap Smile" readers about our Christmas tree jamboree. God bless each one of you!!

Should I?

I decided I will be keeping this blog up still--so I have a place to have fun changing the header and background. :0) I guess....

Summer is Here

The start of summer is here, maybe not in the weather, but the summer months--June, July, and August--are here. At the Christian bookstore the other day, mom found a book on activities families could do together, and looking through it, they sound pretty fun to do. A couple of the activities I remember reading about was doing a scavenger hunt in your backyard, and on one day switching the role as parents and children. With that one, it talked about the parents acting as the children and so on (you get the picture). At the end of the day, ask each other what it is like switching roles and using a biblical basis for it. The book is quite clever in choosing various activities.

Berry Proof and Supper

As you can tell from the pictures, the berries are ready to eat than the grapes.
This evening, my family is having spaghetti, asparagus, and for later, muffins I put together (pictures below). Mom and I have to go to the grocery store later today. (: Have a blessed evening; oh, and don't forget about my last post: Chicken Question.

Sour!

This morning, I took Elizabeth outside with me while I did laundry. I let her swing on the swing underneath the big tree in our backyard and roam around the yard. I decided that we should have a peach from our tree, so we shared one. Afterward, I was curious to see if the grapes were ripe enough to eat. We sauntered over to the grape vines and I picked a grape. Bite. Bite. It was sour! Yuck. I spit it out and Elizabeth looked at me like, 'Sissy what are doing?' Now I know to ask someone if the grapes are ready to eat.

Josh said that we could saunter over to the blackberries next time, since there are a lot of them AND they are ready to eat!
